Meet the faculty

Do the work. In person.

From stuck to a plan you can act on.

The Saturday Career Lab teaches you to move with intention: find where your strengths meet what the market pays for, get in front of the people who decide, and close the offer. You stop being a passenger in your career and start driving it.

Why it works

Built for how the market works now.

If you're pivoting careers, how do you get someone to take a chance on you?

The data is clear: you need to be seen as qualified, interesting and likable. We call them The Three Perceptions, and the Saturday Career Lab is built around all three.

Executive Presence

Academic rigor.

Structured like an Executive MBA Saturday class, with faculty who teach at the university level. Frameworks, not pep talks.

Designed for today's market.

Hiring has changed, and the playbook has to change with it. Everything here is built for navigating the current market.

Proven, not theoretical.

Built on 11 years of data and hundreds of coaching clients, with the frameworks refined year after year as the market shifted. Every method is tested where it counts: in offers.

In person, on purpose.

Screens narrow your focus. Rooms open it up. Research from Columbia and Stanford found people generate more ideas together in person than over video. Add live feedback, unplanned conversations and a cohort you'll know by name, and you get a day that sticks.

The outcomes

What you leave with

01

Learn how to get more interviews that end in offers.

The purpose of an interview is to get an offer. Full stop. You'll leave with a playbook for the questions, the room and the close.

02

Your Career Market Fit.

The point where what drives you, what you're great at and what the market needs overlap. You'll find yours, so you stop pushing and start getting pulled.

03

Positioning that makes you the obvious choice.

Hiring managers compare you to every other option they have. You'll decide which market to compete in and shape how you're seen there, so the right people see your background as an advantage, not a risk.

04

An inside track.

Outreach that gets replies and puts you in front of decision-makers before the role goes public.

05

People who sell you when you're not in the room.

A clear story is one others repeat. That's how referrals and introductions start finding you.

06

Presence that matches your ambition.

Carry the authority your experience has earned, in every room you walk into.

07

A clear head and the energy to act.

Movement and stillness turn career anxiety into focus, so you leave ready to move.

08

A network that lasts.

Accomplished people who get it, and who'll be in your corner after Saturday.

The Room

A room built for honest feedback.

Come as you are. We insist on it. This is a judgment-free room, where you can test ideas out loud, try new versions of your story, and get honest feedback from people who want you to win. Bright, open, and in person. Serendipity happens when you're around other people.

The standard

Arrive ready.

Your prework is done. We start at full speed.

Be all here.

Phones down, minds on. Everyone gets your best, and you get theirs.

Bring something.

This room runs on contribution. What you put in is what you take out.

FAQ

Is now the right time?
The best time to start was a year ago. The second-best time is now. The Lab compresses the timeline: the network most people spend years building, you can build in a few months, because you'll know who to reach and what to say to them.
Is there a virtual option?
No. The room is the point. The thinking, feedback and connections that make the day work happen best in person.
Is there prework?
Yes. To make the best use of our time together, you'll complete a short set of reflection questions after you register and share your résumé. It takes 45 to 60 minutes and is due Monday, November 9. We use it to prepare a personal read on your direction, which you'll get before the Lab.
Are you providing food?
Yes. A nutritious breakfast, a lunch spread with vegetarian options, and your coffee order waiting when you arrive. Water, a coffee machine and vending machines are also on site.
What should I bring?
A laptop and a notebook. If you join the morning stretch, which we encourage, feel free to bring your own yoga mat. If you don't have one, we'll provide one.
Will there be networking?
Yes, built into the day. Breakfast at 8:15 is your first chance to meet the cohort, and lunch is set aside for conversation too. The working sessions are collaborative, so you'll get to know the room as you go.
Where is it?
929 Colorado Ave, Santa Monica, CA 90401, in Downtown Santa Monica: a bright, open space with great natural light. Metered street parking is available on 10th Street, and the Metro E Line's Downtown Santa Monica station is a short walk away.
What if I can't make it?
Full refund, less a 1.5% processing fee, through Friday, November 6. After that, your tuition becomes a full credit toward a future Saturday Career Lab.
